Mutinda is a conservation practitioner and environmental researcher focused on community-led conservation and human–wildlife coexistence. He founded the Eco-Jipe Program to advance locally grounded solutions that integrate science, indigenous knowledge, and sustainable livelihoods to protect the Lake Jipe ecosystem.
