The final quarter of 2024 marked significant milestones across all four pillars of our conservation work. This report summarizes key activities, achievements, and lessons learned during October-December 2024.

Human-Elephant Coexistence

We completed installation of two additional beehive fences, bringing our total to 10. Crop raid incidents in protected areas decreased by 45% compared to the same period last year.

Conservation Education

School programs reached 372 students through 78 sessions. The highlight was our inter-school conservation quiz, which generated significant community interest and media coverage.

Sustainable Fisheries

Both Beach Management Units completed their training programs and are now conducting independent monitoring activities. Early data suggests fish populations are stabilizing.

Alternative Livelihoods

Honey harvests from beehive fences provided income to 30 families. Two new permaculture demonstration gardens were established, bringing our network to five gardens total.
